Back in December, hip-hop mogul Jay-Z was gifted a $5 million, one-of-a-kind Hublot “Big Bang” watch by his superstar wife, Beyoncé.
The watch is crafted from 18k white gold and set with a total of 1282 diamonds, with more than 100 carats of baguette diamonds. The bracelet itself is adorned with 782 baguette diamonds and tips a total of 45 carats! Technical details of the watch include a self-winding mechanical movement and sapphire crystal.
For this rare and exceptional piece, diamond cutters spent countless hours choosing diamonds that would best suit the selected watch and cut design. A master cutter from New York, with over 40 years of professional expertise, was chosen to cut the largest diamonds and ensure that each cut had the same signature look and quality. It took over 14 combined months for full construction of the watch.
