Jewelry speaks words and shares stories people no longer say.
This vintage bracelet is certainly no exception! Brought by a local San Diego woman to one of our professional gemologists, this 2.00 carat total weight vintage bracelet brings with it a history from World War II.
Initially buried and concealed behind a wall in a home in Nyalka, Hungary, this Edwardian bracelet was masked and hidden from the Nazis amongst other valuable and precious items. Never retrieved after the end of the war, it remained there for years until an American woman purchased the home and began renovations. Upon its discovery, it became a beloved heirloom that she passed down to her daughter. The bracelet is dated to be more than 100 years old.
This delicate bracelet found its banged and mangled state into our repair department to reinstate its original beauty. Our expert jewelers replaced the missing diamonds, as well as polished and mended broken links to make it shine as brightly as it did in its glory days.
